So yesterday i went on the monthly critical mass bike ride!! For those of you who don't know... Critical mass is a community bike ride through the heart of orlando, spreading cycling awareness through the idea of strength in numbers. It's also just an awesome way to spend the last friday of every month riding and a chill pace through downtown orlando with a buncha other bicycle enthusiasts.. =) My brother and father and I ride it every month, and we all agree it's something that everyone has to do! =) well anyways... it was a good ride like always.. of course there are the moments when a police officer has nothing better to do than to tail the riders and threaten to arrest them because they aren't riding on the bike lane... (apparently they didn't notice that there were a couple hundred cyclists riding and there wouldn't be any way possible for everyone to fit on the bike lane without causing 10 times more congestion... ) kinda funny actually... but yea. it's completely legal for a bicycle to use the road, and if they want to arrest a bunch of cyclists for legally riding on the streets, then they should check I4 eastbound any day from 3pm-7pm... and arrest those people for causing WAY more congestion than a couple cyclists on one friday at the end of the month...
